Coffee has been a huge part of my life and routine. So much, that I want to share my own with the world, but done in a way that I feel is right. I created New Horizon Coffee Company not only to serve specialty coffee, but to also help victims of human trafficking at a second chance. I studied social work and criminal justice at the University of North Texas and I learned about the topic and their lack of resources. This motivated me to bring awareness and create a company that gives an amazing, positive experience, with coffee that provides all of the benefits with none of the pesticides or poisons while making a difference. Coffee tastes a lot better when it’s made responsibly, ethically, and for a greater purpose!

In Texas alone, there are approximately 313,000 victims of human trafficking. There are nearly 234,000 adult victims of labor trafficking and approximately 79,000 minor and youth victims of sex trafficking in Texas. The I-35 highway also gives perpetrators easy access to both Dallas and Houston, which are rated two of the top estimated trafficking cities.
